Circle Keepers
The Restorative Justice Institute of Oklahoma exists to end the retributive and inequitable systems and cultures in Oklahoma. We are an institute that trains leaders in their context to lead restoratively by being trauma-informed, culturally competent, and able to navigate intrapersonal to macro systems. RJIOK is seeking to work with community members of hyper-policed zip codes in North Tulsa to facilitate conflict and support transformative circles in their community. These circles offer community members the opportunity to deal with their own problems in a holistic and restorative way without depending on police or outside agencies’ involvement. After completing the Circle Keeper training, you will be eligible to attend future RJIOK trainings to become an RJIOK certified restorative justice facilitator.
TRAINING:
Our next training for Circle Keepers will be Saturday, June 24th from 9:30 - 4:00 and Sunday, June 25th, from 10 - 4:30. Location: Still She Rises Training Room in North Tulsa (608 E. 46th St. N.). Candidates who live in the zip codes below are eligible for scholarships. Other candidates in Tulsa are invited and welcome for $350. Payment plans can be negotiated with a $50 deposit.
